Variables Used in this Research
Demographics: The demographics included gender, age group, marital status, and education.
Geography: This study was confined to an analysis of the coastal areas of Wales: within 10km of the coast.
Health: This was self-reported and defined as very good, good, fair, bad, and very bad.
Deprivation: The variable used here was "adults and pensioners in material deprivation" status.
Mental Wellbeing: This variable is the mean measure on the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale.
Flood Risk: This was a combined group of variables asking if a person was concerned or not about flooding to their home, local area, or other parts of Wales.
